Benkei Natsume’s signature “low-temperature sensuality” has been sublimated into a perfect live-action adaptation through the physical presence of Yuria Yoshine. Of particular note is the expression of her back seen around the 30-minute mark. Contrary to the harsh words meant to discipline her son, her fingertips grip the sheets tightly, turning white and stiff in response to the persistent stimulation carved from behind. This “truth of the body that cannot be fully rejected” is the true essence of this work.
